In a powerful collaboration, Vizzy Hard Seltzer is partnering with trans- and queer-owned businesses to launch an online registry dedicated to offering gender-affirming gifts. This initiative includes a range of items such as gender-inclusive apparel, makeup, and much more. Members of marginalized communities, including the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, often encounter significant barriers, including a lack of access to essential gender-affirming products like clothing and cosmetics.
Kicking off this Pride Month and continuing through the end of 2021, Vizzy has joined forces with four businesses owned by trans and queer individuals to create a gift registry. This platform allows friends and allies to shop for their loved ones in the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring that they receive both joy and essential items that are frequently overlooked by mainstream fashion and beauty brands. After all, just as there are registries for weddings and baby showers, why shouldn’t there be one that uplifts trans and queer individuals?
Their website states, “Let’s celebrate the trans community with the Vizzy Live Proudly Registry — an online gift registry where allies can purchase meaningful gifts for trans and non-binary friends directly from trans- and queer-owned businesses.”
The Vizzy Live Proudly Registry features carefully curated gifts that resonate with the LGBTQIA+ community, all sourced from trans- and queer-owned enterprises. Users can create personal registries and select from a variety of items, including chest binders designed by trans individuals from gc2b, Pride-themed streetwear from FLAVNT, inclusive cosmetics from We Are Fluide, and gender-neutral clothing from A Tribe Called Queer.
To further bolster their support, Vizzy will randomly choose 50 participants to receive $500 each for purchasing items from the registry. Additionally, they are donating $25,000 to the National Center for Transgender Equality, an organization that champions policy changes and societal acceptance for transgender individuals. Last year, the brand also contributed $1 million to the Human Rights Campaign, which focuses on combating discrimination against all LGBTQIA+ members.
Participants can set up and access their registries through the end of the year, enabling their loved ones to choose from an array of joyful clothing, makeup, chest binders, and accessories. Everyone deserves access to products that help them feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Let’s hope that other brands will follow suit and highlight the essential products that cater to those who need them the most.
