Recently, my 11-year-old daughter stumbled upon The X-Files on Netflix, and she honestly thought I was pulling her leg when I mentioned its return. But it’s true—six brand-new episodes are on the way! Original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, along with creator Chris Carter, are back in action, and Mitch Pileggi will reprise his role as Walter Skinner, Mulder and Scully’s boss. While we’re still waiting to hear about the return of the Cigarette Smoking Man or the Lone Gunmen, the show has always thrived on a sense of intrigue.

Speaking of intrigue, where did all the Full House fans suddenly appear from? They’re celebrating the news that Netflix is reviving the series next year! After much speculation, it’s official: the new title will be Fuller House. John Stamos, who famously played Uncle Jesse, will be producing and making guest appearances. Fans will be treated to an update on the Tanner family, as widowed and pregnant DJ (played by Candace Cameron Bure) seeks help from her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) in raising her two sons and new baby. Let’s hope they address Sweetin’s memorable moments from Pants-Off Dance-Off! Best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) will also return to lend a hand, and producers are optimistic about guest appearances from Bob Saget (Danny), Dave Coulier (Joey), and even one of the Olsen twins, since they shared the role.

Another classic sitcom from the ’80s and ’90s making a return is Coach. While the cast details remain sparse, original star Craig T. Nelson and creator Barry Kemp are back on board. This time, we’ll catch up with Hayden Fox, who has retired from coaching but returns to lend support to his grown son, now the head coach at an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania.

Remember The Muppet Show? This iconic show within a show was a massive hit in the late ’70s, featuring beloved characters like Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear. It also welcomed a star-studded roster of guests, including Julie Andrews, Rudolf Nureyev, and Liza Minnelli. With the help of Bill Prady from The Big Bang Theory, ABC is developing a new series featuring Kermit and the gang as they attempt to revive the show, despite Miss Piggy’s ongoing struggles with her rocky relationship with Kermit. Muppets are timeless, after all!

In the realm of Heroes, creator Tim Kring returns with a new project titled Heroes Reborn, presenting a fresh narrative with new characters while leaving the door open for returning favorites.

Then there’s Twin Peaks, which remains uncertain following David Lynch’s recent departure. Despite Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost having completed the scripts for Showtime, disputes over the budget led to Lynch stepping away. Fans are rallying on social media to persuade Showtime to continue negotiations, while the original cast expresses their hope for the series to continue without Lynch.

Lastly, as a devoted Parenthood enthusiast, I recently read an interview with creator Jason Katims, who expressed interest in a limited series revival. Yes, please! I would jump at the chance to spend more time with the Braverman family. I truly care for all those characters, no matter how fictional they are. And while I can follow Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell’s real-life adventures, to me, he’ll always be Joy Bryant’s husband, and that’s that.

And while we’re on the subject of revivals, can we please get Freaks & Geeks back? This remarkable show only lasted one season, yet its stars, along with creator Judd Apatow, are still thriving in the industry. I’m curious to see where all those characters ended up!
