It’s not you, it’s definitely you. I know I’ve tried to break up with you before, but this time, I’m serious! We had some fun times, but lately, I just can’t take it anymore. You’ve got a bunch of fresh faces popping up, and I’m not sure I want to compete for your attention.
Here are 10 reasons I’m really saying goodbye this time:
- Seriously, those guys in Speedos with back hair? Have they no dignity?
- The odors! Detoxing, huh? More like hot asparagus and chicken soup in savasana. I can’t endure it!
- I miss my mascara. I put it on, sweat for three minutes, and it’s gone like my will to live. At $27 a tube, I can’t afford to waste it!
- I already showered today. Now I have to do it again—do you have any idea how long that takes?
- My skin is suffering. I can’t drink enough to stay hydrated. I feel like a skinny raisin!
- The mountain of laundry is becoming an Everest I can’t climb.
- I’m done with your instructors telling me that “abs are just around the corner.” That’s a tall tale, and we both know it.
- Those Pilates students look so fresh and put together post-class, while I emerge looking like a swamp creature!
- Enough with the water-drinking rules. When I’m thirsty, I’m sipping when I please!
- Wading through puddles of sweat—especially my own—just to reach the door? No, thank you!
When I want a solid sweat, I’ll lace up for a run outside, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. I’m over rolling around on the floor of your damp, musty studios. I thought I was getting a killer workout, but honestly, I just feel drained and parched after our sessions. The thrill is gone, and I don’t need to impress you or your new admirers. It’s time to move on!
