Wow, what a whirlwind of a week it’s been! I have to say, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of a book release. This week marked the debut of “Motherhood Comes Naturally,” and I couldn’t be more excited!
A massive shoutout to Emma Lane, the fabulous owner of The Cozy Nook, for hosting the most delightful launch tea in NYC. If you’re in the Big Apple, you’ve likely heard of Emma’s charming eateries. For those who haven’t, make sure to swing by right away! They’re the perfect spots for a lunch date with your friends, a cozy afternoon treat, or even the best birthday bash you could imagine. And let’s talk about the scones—they turned this scone skeptic into a full-blown fan. They’re absolutely irresistible!
Each guest left with a goody bag that included not only my latest book but also my first one (thanks to the wonderful team at HarperCollins!). The bags were filled with delightful goodies, including treats and discounts from Sunny Treats, a spin class voucher from Fit Cycle, and some lovely frames from Art & Soul. Lucky attendees, right?
I also want to thank Bella Reed Photography, who graciously came out to capture the festivities. She even reminded me to straighten up—talk about a dedicated photographer! If you’re in the NY area, definitely check her out; she’s incredibly talented!
Just a few days later, back in Baltimore, my amazing friends at the City Kids Collective opened their doors on their day off just to celebrate with me. How awesome is that? We had breakfast provided by Organic Delights, and Lisa and Max from the band Joyful Noise entertained the small crowd while I signed books for their moms.
A heartfelt thank you to Mia Johnson for taking such stunning photos. Working with her was an absolute pleasure, and I’m so grateful for her time and creativity.
Phew! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think it’s time for a well-deserved nap!
