It’s no secret that my contributors and I hold our children close to our hearts. We celebrate their achievements with joy and share in their heartbreaks with tears. Our deepest desire is for their happiness, and they have transformed us into the women we are today.
While there are countless sites filled with beautiful and heartfelt stories about parental love, you’ll find that we often need to discuss the less glamorous aspects of motherhood here. Sure, you might stumble upon some uplifting posts now and then, but let’s be real—sometimes we just need to vent.
It’s perfectly fine to want to spend the entire summer with your children, and I commend you for it; however, that doesn’t mean everyone else has to feel the same excitement about three long months at home. There isn’t a single right way to be a mother, and life is rarely just black or white. We all have moments we’d rather forget, and the last thing we need is to be judged for them—not here.
