In a touching display of enduring love, a 92-year-old man named Frank serenaded his ailing wife, Margaret, in a hospice setting. Their granddaughter, Lily, was visiting Margaret when she captured this poignant moment on video. Margaret, 93, and Frank have shared 73 beautiful years of marriage.

“Grandma is currently in hospice, embracing her final days,” Lily shared alongside the video. “I was fortunate to witness this heartwarming exchange between them.” Frank sang their cherished love song, which brought comfort to Margaret when he was away serving in World War II.

Lily reminisces, “At family gatherings, they often took turns singing this song, each contributing a verse to serenade the other. After being married for fifty years, they even renewed their vows and performed this song as a duet during their reception.” Although Margaret was too frail to sing, she still mouthed the lyrics, prompting Frank to continue the song while gently caressing her face.

“Just moments before the video started, Grandma asked if she could hold him upon hearing he was in the room. Although Frank struggles to stand, he eagerly wheeled himself closer to her bedside,” Lily recounted. “My cousin, Emma, who is a physical therapist, assisted him in standing and supported him throughout the entire song.” Despite Margaret’s blindness due to macular degeneration, and Frank’s deafness, they maintained a deep connection, gazing into each other’s eyes.

When this tender video was shared on social media, it quickly went viral, spreading love and positivity to the family, including Margaret. Initially given only a week to live, she was later deemed well enough to return home and spend her remaining days in peace.
