Dudeoir photography is taking the internet by storm, and a recent series celebrating patriotism is the latest highlight. 2016 is undoubtedly the year of dudeoir, and we’re absolutely here for it! It turns out we’ve been missing out on the fun of capturing outdoorsy moments with a cheeky twist.
Last week, photographer Bella Green of Artistic Photography shared a collection of playful images just in time for Flag Day. She told Home Insemination Kit that her goal was to bring some laughter to her followers, amidst all the heavy news and political drama online: “I wanted to make Facebook fun again. I never expected the photos to go viral with over a thousand shares in days and even feature in a prominent magazine shortly after. It spread like wildfire!”
Indeed, the internet could use a good chuckle, and this shoot delivers with Bella’s friend, Sam Thompson, playfully posing on a sunny farm. Bella cleverly captioned the album, “Because the ladies can’t have ALL the fun in the land of the free.”
“This was my first dudeoir shoot; I usually focus on weddings,” Bella shared. “I had the idea for a while but was looking for the right model. Friends were offering their partners, but nothing felt right until I stumbled upon a photo of Sam on Facebook. I thought, ‘Bingo!’ He was exactly what I pictured. When I asked him, he didn’t hesitate at all.” The shoot was so enjoyable that Bella had to put the camera down a few times to catch her breath from laughing. “We’re both amazed and thrilled to have made people smile again,” she added.
More fun, hairy gentlemen frolicking in fields, please!
