Crib-Surfing Toddler: Just a Regular Kid, Not a Possessed Demon

Video footage recently surfaced showing a toddler, Jake, surfing on his crib, leaving his parents in disbelief. Video monitors are a great way for parents to keep an eye on their little ones without hovering over the crib. They’re designed to provide reassurance, allowing us to verify that our children are safe while we tackle adult responsibilities in another room. However, they can sometimes lead to unexpected surprises, as Jake’s parents, David and Emma, discovered.

When they reviewed the footage from their nanny cam, they were stunned to see their son scaling his crib and riding it like a pro surfer—if that surfer happened to be possessed by a mischievous spirit. The video included some unusual growls and eerie glowing eyes that had viewers raising an eyebrow. You can check out the spine-chilling video footage for yourself.

On one hand, I must commend the kid; his balance is quite remarkable! On the other hand, I can’t help but ask, what on earth? But really, what’s new? If you’re a parent, you don’t need any video evidence of your child’s antics; you witness it daily. The Booth family’s video of their little one pulling off some serious “surfing” moves in the dark of night has led some to label him as “possessed.” I can only assume those people have never had kids.

I didn’t have a video monitor for my first child, but I do for my second, and just two months in, I’m already questioning that choice. I’ve never caught my baby climbing out of the crib and growling like a scene from a horror movie, but I’ve seen enough thriller flicks to feel a chill every time I glance at the monitor and see my baby staring back at me. Watching. Judging. Pooping.

However, I never jump to conclusions about possession because kids don’t need a demon inside them to terrify us. They are the real little monsters. We’ve all experienced that heart-stopping moment of waking up in the dead of night to find your child silently staring at you from the edge of your bed. David and Emma can relate.

As reported by Yahoo, David insists that while the video is “100 percent real,” Jake isn’t possessed. The glowing eyes, he claims, are simply a trick of the camera’s night vision. Sure, David, whatever you say.

Whether he’s possessed or not, if I were Jake’s parents, I’d be looking for sponsorship opportunities! My five-year-old hasn’t shown that level of coordination during the day, let alone in the dark at 2 AM. This family might just have a goldmine on their hands! At the very least, they should try to get a deal with Monster Energy drinks.
