One of the greatest joys of blogging is the ability to find humor in everyday challenges. Whether it’s the black marker my daughter Lucy used to ‘label’ my favorite belongings or the artwork my son James created on his brother’s face, these moments often provide some much-needed comic relief. This platform has allowed me to laugh at what might have otherwise frustrated me to no end.
However, I now find myself in a rather dire situation that offers no comedic relief whatsoever. Yes, you guessed it—lice. This little invasion is not just a nuisance; it’s a full-blown crisis. The laundry pile has reached an alarming height, and the smell of the treatment shampoo is enough to make anyone gag. Every stuffed toy and beloved doll has been bagged and sent to the basement, and I’m about to shell out a staggering $100 an hour for a mobile lice specialist to ensure our heads are nit-free.
What really tickles my funny bone, though, is the thought of inadvertently spreading these pesky critters to a Hollywood star like Zoe Saldana. The idea of a celebrity lice outbreak traced back to my home? Now that’s a chuckle-worthy image!
Disclaimer: My partner, Mike, suggested I hold off on publishing this post, claiming it might come across as mean-spirited. I disagree; I’m not wishing lice on Zoe or anyone else, but the visual of Entertainment Tonight covering a lice breakout due to me is too amusing to resist. Sue me.

In summary, while the allure of Hollywood events can be tempting, mommy bloggers should carefully consider the not-so-glamorous realities of life—especially when faced with situations like an uninvited lice infestation.
