Parenting can be quite an eccentric journey. - Found myself searching frantically around the house for my phone while actually talking on it—clearly a sign of fatigue.
- Accidentally tucked in one of my daughter’s stuffed animals, resulting in an extensive bedtime routine that felt like a marathon.
- Deceived my daughter into thinking that a mushroom was chicken, laughing internally when she not only tried it but actually enjoyed it.
- Once, I was so astonished by the size of my child’s bowel movement that I called my spouse in to witness it. More than once.
- In a moment of weakness, let my children choose anything they wanted from the bookstore, realizing too late the chaos that would ensue from their indecision.
- Encouraged independence in my children, only to discover they believe they can accomplish everything alone—and often do it incorrectly.
- Administered a suppository to another person, which is certainly a unique parenting experience.
