Discover the Ultimate App for Connecting with Fellow MomsGet Pregnant Fast

Making new friends as a mother can feel like an uphill battle. Between managing kids’ schedules and navigating daily chaos, finding time to connect can be challenging. Striking up a conversation with another mom at the park often comes with the same awkward energy as a first date gone wrong. Luckily, a new app called MomLink is here to change that by helping you swipe your way to potential mom friends—think Tinder, but for friendships (and minus the unsolicited messages).

Currently available in beta for iPhone users, MomLink is entirely free and ad-free for now. Setting up your profile is a breeze; the app connects to your Facebook account to import your photos, location, and occupation. If you’re concerned about privacy, you can easily customize which photos and details are visible to others.

Features of MomLink

MomLink caters to expectant mothers and those with children up to 16 years old. When creating your profile, you can indicate if you’re pregnant and list the names and ages of your children. This feature is especially helpful for finding moms with kids at similar stages for playdates and other activities.

Additionally, you can select three badges that reflect your personality or parenting style, giving other users insight into who you are. Whether you want to showcase your love for organic living or connect with moms of children with special needs, these badges help to attract like-minded individuals.

Genuine Connections

Unlike traditional social media, MomLink is designed to foster genuine connections. You must actively decide how to engage with each potential mom friend before moving on. If you find someone you might click with, swipe up to send a “wave.” If she reciprocates, you’ll be matched and can begin chatting. If not, your message will still go through, just to a different folder, allowing you to reach out again if the moment feels right.

Should you happen upon a group of moms you vibe with, you can start a group chat, organize a meet-up, or even create fun polls (like debating who will win the next season of your favorite reality show).

The Vision Behind MomLink

The genius behind MomLink is Ashley Foster, who previously worked on platforms like Bumble. Inspired by her own experiences as a new mom, she realized there was a gap in finding a community of like-minded women. “I realized I could help others connect for dating, yet I struggled to find friends for coffee,” she shared. “Just because I became a mother doesn’t mean I’ve lost my identity or interests.”

Motherhood can often feel isolating, and even when you manage to attend events like storytime, it can be hard to meet other moms while keeping an eye on your little ones. MomLink provides a fantastic way to discover nearby moms who share your interests without the pressure of striking up conversations with strangers in public.
