A Straightforward Christmas Wish List From Mom

This year, I’m skipping the sugarcoated wishes and getting straight to the point. Here’s what I genuinely want for Christmas:

1. New Yoga Pants

First up, I desperately need some new yoga pants. The moment I step inside, my regular clothes come off, and my yoga pants take a beating from crawling around with the kids. A little help here would be appreciated!

2. A Break from Frozen

Next, I’d love just one car ride without the endless loop of the Frozen soundtrack. Can a mom get a break?

3. Family Photos

Let’s talk family photos. I want one single picture where everyone is looking at the camera, no blinks or blurriness. I dream of printing it out and showcasing it in our living room to prove that there was at least one moment when my kids had clean faces and matching outfits.

4. New Earrings

And yes, I want new earrings, even if I can only wear them on date nights—my little one loves to tug on them until my ears are red.

5. A Spa Day

A spa day? Yes, please! I just want a moment to feel like a woman again instead of a frazzled mom sporting a messy bun and remnants of baby food in my hair.

6. A New White Comforter

Also, I could really use a new white comforter for our bedroom. Just one room with a touch of romance would be lovely.

7. Gift Cards and Child-Free Shopping

Gift cards to my favorite stores along with a day of child-free shopping would be the icing on the cake. And it wouldn’t hurt if I looked fabulous in everything I try on!

8. A Year’s Supply of Chocolate

Let’s be real—I want a year’s supply of chocolate, and I’m not interested in sharing.

9. Planned Date Nights

Planned and paid-for date nights would really help us step out instead of constantly postponing our plans and ending up at Taco Bell with the kids in tow.

10. A Gift Card for a Massage

A gift card for a massage would be appreciated too. The last time I went, the masseuse suggested I get them more often—and that was before I became a mom!

11. New Perfume

New perfume would be a dream, allowing me to escape the constant smell of baby poop and spit-up.

12. A New Vacuum

And please, a new vacuum would help me tackle the mess my little ones leave behind. Let’s be honest, I’d like to enjoy using it too.

13. A Thoughtful Gift from My Husband

I crave a thoughtful gift from my husband—something that reminds me why I fell in love with him in the first place.

14. A Maid Service

A maid service to clean my house would be a lifesaver. I really don’t want to witness their reactions when they discover the month-old food my toddler has hidden away.

15. A Gym Membership

A gym membership would make me feel less guilty about indulging in that third cookie after the kids are asleep.

16. A Stress-Free Date Night

Lastly, I want a date where I don’t have to handle the restaurant reservation or babysitter arrangements. Just one good night out without the planning stress!

If you manage to get me any of these wishes, I might just consider some mistletoe kisses!
