From June 3 to June 7, fans can participate in a five-day auction for these incredible pieces. “The future of these iconic works is now in the hands of the fans who made Friends one of the greatest shows in television history,” Reed stated. He reminisced about the moment when his sister told him that David Schwimmer, who played Ross, wore a t-shirt featuring his artwork in the show’s third episode. “The next day, I connected with the show’s creators, who decided they wanted to showcase my art. Now, 25 years later, collectors and fans have the opportunity to own a piece of this legacy through The Art of Friends,” he remarked.
Bidding starts at $100 for 11 non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including Coffee Cup, King Kong, and Lady Liberty. The renowned piece ‘Big Hitter’ can be acquired for $150 in a limited edition format. Reed’s pop art often draws inspiration from cultural themes, and he has previously collaborated with high-profile figures like Kanye West on a series of paintings inspired by The Jetsons.
