As we transition from Halloween to the festive season, it’s time to focus on the holidays—yes, the one that involves Santa! Since the release of the popular “Elf on the Shelf” book back in 2005, the little elf has become a holiday staple, and IHOP is joining in the fun with their new themed menu.
The breakfast chain has launched an Elf on the Shelf Holiday Menu, making it easier for parents to encourage good behavior in their kids without the hassle of nightly elf relocations. The menu boasts delightful items such as Jolly Cakes, a Holiday Ham and Sausage Omelette, Oh What Funnel Cakes, Merry Marshmallow Hot Chocolate, and a special Little Elves Combo designed for young diners and the young at heart.
But there’s even more! From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily until January 1, adults ordering any main entrée can get a free kids’ menu item for children aged 12 and under (dine-in only). This is certainly a generous dose of holiday cheer!
IHOP’s Jolly Cakes feature four vibrant green pancakes adorned with cream cheese icing, whipped cream, and festive red and green sprinkles mimicking Christmas ornaments. And the Oh What Funnel Cakes? They are traditional fair-style treats dusted with powdered sugar and topped with glazed strawberries, whipped cream, and more sprinkles. Sounds tempting, right?
The Holiday Ham and Sausage Omelette includes fire-roasted peppers and onions, a blend of jack and cheddar cheeses, and is generously smothered in a cheddar cheese sauce. It’s served alongside hashbrowns and a choice of another side. While you might think that simply adding “holiday” to a dish wouldn’t make much of a difference, trust me—it does!
As a special addition for families, IHOP is also offering a new animated feature that showcases Santa, Mrs. Claus, Scout Elves, and a pack of arctic fox cubs. This heartwarming movie, titled Elf Pets: A Fox Cub’s Christmas Tale, is available for purchase on their website for under $10.
IHOP consistently gets into the holiday spirit, having previously introduced themed menus for Halloween and last year’s Grinch-inspired offerings. It’s a great spot to take your kids and celebrate the joys of the season.
“We’re thrilled to kick off the holidays with our partnership with The Elf on the Shelf, two cherished family brands,” said Laura Thompson, IHOP’s marketing director. We can’t wait to indulge in these seasonal delights.
