Coffee is my lifeblood. Attempting to pry it away will not end well for you. My family knows better than to engage with me until I’ve had my first (or third) cup. No matter what anyone says, I genuinely believe there’s some kind of magical pixie dust in there because it gives me the energy to face the day when I can barely lift my head off the pillow.
Back in my mid-twenties, my well-meaning friends staged an intervention. They insisted, “You consume way too much coffee; it’s time to cut back.” I responded with something like, “If you think you can regulate my beloved brew, you’re mistaken.” Okay, maybe I was slightly calmer since I hadn’t had much coffee at that point. Regardless, my friends quickly dropped the subject.
I enjoy my cup just the way I like it, so don’t even think about suggesting otherwise. I prefer it dark and strong, with a splash of soy creamer and three packets of raw cane sugar. That’s just how I roll.
When I stumbled upon a viral coffee chart from Delish, I couldn’t help but laugh. The chart features thirty-six distinct cups of coffee, starting with the one loaded with creamer and gradually increasing the coffee ratio until it reaches peak strength. Delish simply wanted to know how you enjoy your coffee (I’m a D5, if anyone feels generous enough for a Starbucks run). As I scrolled through the comments, I was shocked to see the reactions to those who chose the creamer-heavy option. Those poor souls faced quite the backlash, and honestly, they deserved it. Picking a cup filled mostly with creamer? Come on! We all know the truth—strong coffee is the way to go or you might be considered a lightweight.
The commentary was both entertaining and revealing. Some users were eager to enlighten others, while others couldn’t resist pointing out foolish remarks. Finally, someone echoed what many were thinking: all this chatter made me crave a cup of coffee!
While I have an undeniable passion for coffee and am quite picky about how I drink it, I also recognize that we busy moms need to support one another. So, before I change my stance, let me say this: Enjoy your coffee however you please. Load it with cream, gulp it down, do whatever helps you navigate this mom life. Let’s be honest; if you have kids, you’re probably sipping a lukewarm cup left over from the morning anyway. So if half a gallon of flavored creamer gets you through the day, go for it. Just maybe keep it under wraps.

In summary, this lighthearted exploration of coffee preferences illustrates the divide between coffee lovers and those who prefer their drinks with a heavy dose of creamer. It’s a reminder that, regardless of how you take your coffee, it’s all about what works for you in this busy life.
