In an exciting development for fans of the Trolls franchise, a brand new holiday special is headed to television this week! It’s hard to deny the charm of these colorful characters, especially when your children insist on watching Trolls on their devices. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake will reprise their beloved roles as the adorable duo, Poppy and Branch.
The Storyline
The storyline promises to be engaging. With the Bergens’ only holiday behind them, Poppy, the eternally cheerful Troll queen, is determined to introduce a new day of festivity to Bergen Town. As NBC describes, “Poppy enlists the hesitant Branch and their vibrant friends, the Snack Pack, to help her convince Bridget and King Gristle Jr.—her Bergen pals—that embracing a new holiday could enhance their lives. Yet, the Bergens might not be ready for the kind of exuberant celebration that Poppy has in mind, whether it’s Ticklepalooza or Balloon Squeal Day.” There’s bound to be plenty of excitement for these fairy tale creatures, but Poppy’s creativity and resourcefulness are sure to shine through.

The best part? The star-studded cast remains unchanged! Alongside Kendrick and Timberlake, other mainstays from the original film are back to lend their voices. The special features Zooey Deschanel as Bridget, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as King Gristle Jr., and James Corden as Biggie, among others.
