You’re Gonna Absolutely Adore This Pig, I Promise!

I just spent the last two hours watching videos of Esther The Wonder Pig with my daughter, and my sides hurt from laughter at this incredible animal. Let me tell you, this is not your average pig. Nope! Esther enjoys a lavish lifestyle and has a better wardrobe than I do! She has a cozy bed in a house she shares with her two dads and dines on gourmet homemade meals. Wilbur would be so envious.
Esther can host friends whenever she likes and clearly has full reign of the house, which is absolutely adorable to witness. I mean, if watching a pig munch on peanut butter toast doesn’t lift your spirits, then I don’t know what will. And have you ever seen a pig dreamily chewing on a mint while napping? It’s too much to handle!
But my favorite moment has to be when Esther opens the screen door. It seems she met some friends who are ready to come in and join the fun! Esther’s motto, “Be The Reason Someone Smiles,” is one of the most uplifting things I’ve discovered online lately. With over a million followers on Facebook, she’s spreading joy and warmth to countless fans. This pig is truly living her best life.
Esther was adopted by her two dads, Mark and Tom, in 2012, unaware of the incredible journey ahead. Once Esther grew to a whopping 600 pounds (surprise!), Mark and Tom realized their small apartment wouldn’t suffice, leading them to purchase a farm in Ontario, Canada in 2014, which they aptly named Esther Farm Sanctuary. It’s a haven where Esther and her animal pals can roam freely, all while she juggles signing autographs and working on her new project, “Life According To Esther.” This will give her fans a sneak peek into her world, including some of her favorite recipes.
Their heartwarming story is beautifully chronicled in their New York Times Best-Selling book, Esther The Wonder Pig. They also have a delightful children’s picture book set to release in March, titled The True Adventures of Esther the Wonder Pig.
Esther’s escapades extend beyond books and shows; she even hosts a week-long cruise with Carnival Cruise Lines! This event, scheduled for February 2018, promises an “Esther Approved” menu, guest speakers, a pub crawl, and film screenings. I seriously feel like I need to be part of it!
The best part? All proceeds benefit the animal residents at Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary, a registered charity in Canada. If I’m going on a cruise, I want it to be with the world’s most lovable pig while supporting other animals. Talk about a win-win!
