I’m so excited to welcome you into our family! But before we pop the champagne, I have a few things to share.
First and Foremost
First and foremost, I am his mother, which means he was mine long before he became yours. One day, when you become a mom, you’ll see just how deep that connection runs. It’s both a joy and a challenge that lasts a lifetime, and letting go is something I’m still working on. So, if I seem a bit overzealous at times, please bear with me.
A Little Spoiled
As our youngest, we may have spoiled your fiancé just a tad, so he can be a bit of a handful. You’ve probably noticed his charming ways—those puppy dog eyes can be quite persuasive! I apologize for my role in that—I should have given him a little more “tough love” back when he was three. If he gets too demanding, feel free to give him a playful nudge!
Housekeeping Habits
Now, about his housekeeping habits—let’s just say they could use some work! I might have taken on the role of “household manager” a bit too seriously, which left him with fewer chores than he probably should have had. So, if you find yourself picking up those socks off the floor, I empathize!
On a More Serious Note
On a more serious note, he once mentioned an allergy to cats, but the truth is, he’s just a little scared of them after a childhood mishap. If you’re a cat lover, you might want to keep that in mind!
But Don’t Worry!
But don’t worry, it’s not all bad news! He’s kind, hardworking, and has a sense of humor that will keep you laughing. He’ll eat just about anything you cook—microwave popcorn is practically a gourmet meal for him! And you won’t feel pressured to keep the house spotless, as he’s not one to fuss about tidiness. Plus, he prefers cozy nights in over outdoor adventures, giving you plenty of time for some well-deserved self-care while he’s lounging on the couch.
Looking Forward
I’ve been waiting a long time for my youngest to grow up and settle down, and I couldn’t be happier that you’re the one who will help him do just that! If you ever need to chat, vent, or just have a laugh, I’m always here for you.
Welcome to the Family!
