There’s a nifty little app called Here Comes the Bus (we admit the name is a bit cheesy, but the concept is fantastic!). Developed by a clever team at Synovia Solutions based in Indiana, this real-time school bus tracker lets parents check the location of their child’s bus right from their smartphone, tablet, or computer.
The app was designed with busy parents in mind, aiming to provide updates about when the bus is on its way. This means less time spent outside in the frigid cold, pouring rain, sweltering heat, or during rush hour. Plus, it might even reduce those frantic calls to the school when the bus runs late! “The question is always the same,” said Dan Thompson, president of Synovia Solutions, in an interview. “Parents are constantly asking, ‘Where’s my child’s bus?’ But with this app, they can simply see for themselves!”
