Let’s get one thing straight: my fellow contributors and I adore our kids like there’s no tomorrow. We celebrate their triumphs with joy and empathize with their struggles through tears. All we truly want is their happiness, and let’s be honest, we’ve been transformed in ways we never imagined because of them.
Sure, there are countless websites filled with heartwarming stories about parental love, and you might find a few on this site too. But let’s be real—sometimes we just need to air our grievances about the not-so-perfect aspects of motherhood.
Here, we don’t throw around insults like calling another mom selfish or questioning her commitment to her kids. If you’re excited to spend every moment of the summer with your little ones, that’s fantastic! But let’s not pretend that everyone shares that enthusiasm for three whole months of togetherness.
Motherhood isn’t a one-size-fits-all gig. Life is rarely black and white, and we all have those moments we’d rather forget. The last thing we need is judgment from others. Not in this space.
