Play-Doh can be both a delight and a challenge. On one hand, it keeps my children entertained for hours, allowing me to tackle household chores, indulge in a guilty pleasure TV show, or snack on chocolate chips uninterrupted. On the flip side, I know I’ll be on clean-up duty for weeks, with tiny remnants of dough scattered across the floor. But honestly, the mess isn’t that big of a deal, and my kids adore Play-Doh. We don’t play with it every day, which helps maintain its freshness and keeps their interest alive. So, I set out to find some tools to make our Play-Doh playtime more enjoyable for everyone.
- A Generous Supply of Play-Doh
Having a plentiful supply of Play-Doh is essential. There’s nothing worse than planning a fun session only to discover that the tubs are all mixed up and dried out. I like to keep several fresh containers handy while storing extras in a cabinet. This way, I can easily swap out the old, crusty stuff for bright new colors, free from any pet hair. Also, if you’re like us and go through Play-Doh quickly, consider using a Dash Button from Amazon for easy reordering. Just place it where you store your Play-Doh; when you’re running low, press it to automatically order more. - Large Silicone Baking Mats
These mats are invaluable for managing the inevitable mess. I lay one out for each child to prevent dough from getting stuck in the grooves of our kitchen table. After playtime, we simply put the Play-Doh back into its containers and shake the mats off into the trash. No more tedious cleanup with tape! - Play-Doh Tools
Investing in a set of Play-Doh tools is a great idea. Your kids will have everything they need to cut, roll, and shape the dough into whatever their imaginations conjure up. - Play-Doh Fun Factory
No Play-Doh collection is complete without a Fun Factory. I remember how much joy it brought me as a child, and my son still gravitates towards it whenever we bring out the Play-Doh. - K-Cup Carousel
If you prefer smaller containers of Play-Doh, a K-Cup carousel is an excellent storage solution. It’s particularly useful for those with limited space, keeping everything organized without cluttering the table.
Play-Doh will be a part of your family life for a while, so why not make it easier and more enjoyable for everyone involved?
