This Christmas, I’m skipping the sugarcoating and getting straight to the point about what I truly desire. Here’s my no-nonsense wish list:
1. New Yoga Pants
First off, I need some new yoga pants. The moment I step inside, I ditch my real clothes, and crawling around with the kids definitely takes its toll—hello, holes!
2. A Quiet Car Ride
I’d love just one car ride without the incessant sounds of the Frozen soundtrack blaring in the background.
3. A Family Photo
How about one family photo where everyone is actually looking at the camera with no one blinking or fuzzy? I want that framed in our living room as proof that my kids can look presentable at least once!
4. New Earrings
I could really use some new earrings, even if I only wear them on date nights—my little one loves to yank them until my ears are red and sore.
5. A Spa Day
A spa day is on my list too; I need to reclaim my identity as a woman, not just a mom in a messy bun and yoga pants with baby food in my hair.
6. A New White Comforter
I’d also like a new white comforter for our bedroom, so we can have a touch of romance in our lives amidst the chaos.
7. Gift Cards
Gift cards to my favorite stores would be amazing, especially if I could enjoy a day of shopping without kids in tow. It wouldn’t hurt if everything I tried on looked fabulous, either!
8. A Year’s Supply of Chocolate
And let’s not forget a year’s supply of chocolate—my own secret stash that I won’t share with anyone!
9. Planned Date Nights
I wish for planned and prepaid date nights, so we actually go out instead of postponing until we end up at Taco Bell with the kids.
10. A Massage Gift Card
A massage gift card would be delightful; the last time I went, the massage therapist suggested I should indulge more often, and that was before I had kids!
11. New Perfume
New perfume is a must. I’m tired of smelling like baby poop and spit-up all the time.
12. A New Vacuum
A new vacuum would be appreciated too, so I can tackle the crumbs and dirt my kids scatter everywhere and maybe even enjoy cleaning up!
13. A Thoughtful Gift from My Husband
I’d love a thoughtful gift that shows my husband put some effort into it—something that reminds me why I fell in love with him in the first place.
14. A Maid Service
A maid service to handle the cleaning would be fantastic, especially if I can avoid their judgmental looks when they discover the remnants of my toddler’s meals hidden under furniture.
15. A Gym Membership
A gym membership would help me feel less guilty about that third cookie I sneak after the kids are asleep.
16. A Date Without Planning
Finally, I want a date where I don’t have to make the reservation or arrange a babysitter—it’s time for a break from planning!
If you can manage to get me even one of these items from my Christmas wish list, we can talk about a little mistletoe magic.

In summary, this holiday season, I’m all about practicality with a touch of pampering. A few thoughtful gifts would go a long way in reminding me of my identity beyond motherhood.
