IKEA’s latest commercial is a tearjerker for moms everywhere. Just a few weeks ago, I snapped a photo of me kissing my 5-year-old on the cheek, and he rolled his eyes at me. In that instant, I realized he won’t be my little boy forever. Soon enough, he might not need me to tuck him in and read a bedtime story, and he’ll likely stop wanting me to walk him to the school door. The days of him saying, “Mommy, I love you the most,” are numbered.
TIME FOR A GLASS OF WINE.
IKEA gets it. Their new ad serves as a poignant reminder that no matter how old our kids get, they will always be our babies at heart. I know it sounds cliché, but just watch the video. Seriously, thanks a lot, IKEA.
Excuse me while I sob… forever.
