In a recent post, mom Jessica Adams shared a photo that struck a chord with parents everywhere. Her brother-in-law uploaded the image to Reddit, humorously captioning it, “There are two types of kids on the first day of school…” and it perfectly illustrates the contrast between them.
In the image, we see Kid Type A beaming with joy, eager for the adventures that await in the classroom. This kid is excited to meet the teacher, make new friends, and find the lunchroom. On the flip side, there’s Kid Type B, who clearly wants nothing to do with the first day of school. This child is curled up in a corner, shedding tears and ready to protest this new experience.
Jessica explained that her daughter was pumped for her first day of kindergarten, while her son, however, was not on board for preschool. “He just decided to lay down on the floor and cry,” she recounted. We can all relate to that feeling sometimes, can’t we?
