A mom transforms her son’s meals into stunning art pieces.

Last week, I dished out dinner to my kids on those fun compartment plates. We had sweet potato fries, hot dogs, peas, and applesauce. I even squirted ketchup in a zigzag pattern on the hot dogs and created smiley faces from the peas. Proud of my efforts, I stepped back to admire my work.

But honestly, my attempt at food art is child’s play compared to what this incredibly talented mom is doing. Meet Sarah Thompson from Melbourne, Australia, who has a gift for turning everyday foods into artistic masterpieces. Inspired by her son, she launched an Instagram account called Jacob’s Food Diaries, which has garnered nearly 50,000 followers.

“I’ve always been passionate about promoting healthy organic eating for children. Last May, I decided to shape Jacob’s spelt pancakes into a lion, and he adored it! From there, it took off. Jacob now tells me which character he wants, whether it’s from a book, a movie, or something that caught his eye,” she shared.

So, she crafts any character he desires using food? Sarah, can you whip me up a salmon burger shaped like Jon Snow? That would be amazing!

Interestingly, Jacob even enjoyed the octopus she crafted to resemble Hank from Finding Dory, despite Sarah’s reservations. “I thought he’d be grossed out by the octopus, but he helped me prepare it without a hitch. I, on the other hand, nearly gagged at the massive tentacles!”

Yeah, I think I’ll stick with less ambitious meals when it comes to my kids, but kudos to this adventurous mom!

All jokes aside, Sarah’s creations are mind-blowing. Just check out this avocado Kermit—yes, please! Or Goofy made entirely from various food groups. And can we talk about this octopus? What else would Ursula be made of? This Yoda crafted from chicken, spinach mash, and cucumber is absolutely next-level, and I really can’t let my Star Wars-loving son see it.

Look, I’m all for creativity, and if it helps her child eat healthier than just cheese sticks and chicken nuggets, she deserves all the applause. Her commitment to expanding his palate is commendable, and her artistic talent is truly remarkable.

But if you ever catch me trying to do something like this to get my kids to eat, please send help!
