On Easter Sunday, just two weeks ahead of her due date, Jake’s wife, Mia, unexpectedly went into labor. So caught off guard, he didn’t even register what was happening at first. “Around 11:30 or 12, my wife kept mentioning her back pain every 10 to 12 minutes, and I would just massage her back,” Jake recounted. “If I had been better at recognizing patterns, I might have realized those were contractions!”
Once they figured it out, they called their doctor. After arriving at the hospital, Mia gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Oliver, all while the hospital staff sported bunny ears for the holiday.
