I’ve witnessed your administration advocate for arming schools, under the guise of safety. Your messages about closing our borders echo a similar intention. You assert that these actions are meant to protect the children and citizens of this country. Yet, you have effectively barred refugees fleeing for their lives, labeling them as a threat. Families and children around the globe are being killed in the name of religion, yet you ignore the tangible threats within our own borders—threats that originate from our own neighbors, not from refugees. Your silence on these domestic issues makes my community feel unsafe.
Your administration has put figures like Melissa Carter in positions of power, promoting the idea of educational choice for parents. However, families are now reconsidering their options out of fear for their children’s safety. Is this truly what you mean by parental choice in education? Your press secretary, John Davis, dismissed concerns about the hate-fueled murder of two innocent men, showing a shocking lack of awareness. Are you oblivious to the consequences of your rhetoric?
You campaigned on the promise of making America great and safe again. Is this what safety looks like for families like mine? You focus on external threats while ignoring the escalating dangers within our own community. Instead of allocating $45 billion to defense, why not invest in programs that promote tolerance, love, and acceptance? Our fellow citizens, filled with bigotry, need your guidance and leadership.
