I advocate for dedicating at least 12 hours a week just for yourself. That’s enough time for workouts, a date night, or even a little self-care. It might seem impossible, but with roughly 112 waking hours in a week, finding 12 for yourself is doable. I manage it, so I believe anyone can!

With motherhood comes worry. What’s something you’ve learned isn’t worth stressing over?

I often see parents boasting about their children’s achievements — from saying their first word at seven months to earning accolades by the age of nine. My kids are just normal kids, hitting milestones at their own pace, and that’s perfectly fine. I wasn’t particularly exceptional either, and I turned out okay. They will navigate life’s challenges in their own time.

When was the last time you used your kids as an excuse to dodge an obligation?

What’s the least amount of sleep you can function on?

I need at least six hours to feel human. Without it, I’m a mess. Thankfully, now that my kids are older, I’m able to catch up on some sleep, though not as much as I’d like. That’s their fault!
