For one couple, the dream of a Disney-inspired wedding became a delightful reality, thanks to a touch of creativity and some trusty glue. Sarah Thompson and Mark Reynolds transformed their special day into a whimsical celebration of their love for Disney. With stunning centerpieces and decorations, their wedding captured the essence of the happiest place on Earth.
Even the bride’s stunning gown was infused with Disney magic, as she wore a dress from the Alfred Angelo’s Disney Fairytale Weddings collection, inspired by the iconic Cinderella. “Sarah really channeled her creativity into the decor, finding unique ways to honor their favorite Disney films,” shared wedding photographer, Lily Adams, who was thrilled to document this enchanting day.

“The ceremony showcased a charming woodland theme adorned with butterflies, representing beloved classic animated tales like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and even Alice in Wonderland,” Adams explained. Given her own love for Disney, she was the ideal photographer to capture every precious moment.

As any Disney aficionado knows, narrowing down the stories to celebrate can be quite a challenge. Sarah and Mark’s solution was wonderfully imaginative. “At the reception, each table reflected a different Disney theme,” Adams noted. “The Cinderella table featured a pumpkin carriage, while the Little Mermaid table displayed a snarfblatt and a dinglehopper. The Tangled table was adorned with a collection of enchanting lanterns.”

Adams shared that Sarah crafted a rose embellished with twinkling lights, which complemented the Mrs. Potts, Chip, and illuminated Lumiere figurines on the Beauty and the Beast table.

“The head table was a miniature replica of Sleeping Beauty Castle, commemorating the very spot where Mark proposed,” Adams revealed. Mark’s romantic proposal took place at Disneyland, in a cozy nook beside Sleeping Beauty Castle.
With such a heartfelt proposal behind them, how could they resist a Disney-themed wedding? Among all the magical touches, Sarah cherished her bouquet the most. “The night before the wedding, my best friend and I stayed up late making bouquets for the bridesmaids. By 2 a.m., we finally got to mine, but I was exhausted by then,” she recalled. “Mark sent me to bed and stayed up to assemble my bouquet himself.” How sweet is that?

Thank goodness for their crafty skills with a hot glue gun! “It took a lot of time to gather and create all the items needed to give each table its unique theme,” Adams reported. But the effort was undoubtedly worth it, creating an atmosphere that made the wedding truly special. “Guests loved it and spent part of their evening exploring each table, which helped everyone mingle,” Adams added.
Thanks to the assistance of family, the couple was also treated to a custom cake designed specifically for them. “It was made by Sarah’s sister-in-law and featured miniature replicas of Carl and Ellie’s chairs from the movie Up,” Adams said.
Once the celebrations concluded, where did the newlyweds head? For their honeymoon at Walt Disney World, naturally. “This wedding is a testament to the idea that Disney is a state of mind, and fairy tales can unfold anywhere,” Adams concluded.
